Print’s not dead!

While many might assume that the need for printed materials is diminishing in an increasingly digital world, here at Evolve Business Solutions we are seeing a different story unfold. Over the past three years, we have seen an 11% increase in printers, with the 2021/22 to 2022/23 showing growth as high as 13%.

Ross Cracknell, Managing Director of Evolve Business Solutions, believes the figures highlight that print still has an important place in business operations. “There’s been a lot of focus on going paperless, and while digital solutions are valuable, printing remains essential for many companies. It’s clear that print isn’t dead – in fact, it’s very much alive and evolving. Many of our customers are in sectors where print is still very much alive, such as architects, law firms and engineering firms”

It would seem that the increase in demand could be linked to more staff returning to the office after the Covid-19 pandemic. And this shift back to office working, be it full time or a hybrid model, could be contributing to the increase in print. There are some businesses that find that some tasks and processes are simply more effective with physical documents.”

Customer of Evolve Rebecca Kelly – CFO – Kocurek Excavators Ltd supports this increase and says:

“Evolve Business Solutions provided Kocurek Excavators with 8 devices, but due to demand within the business we have recently added another device. The process couldn’t have been easier or faster! Since moving our managed print solutions over to Evolve, we have been delighted with the service that we have received.”

We continue to provide tailored printing and photocopying solutions to meet the changing needs of local businesses, ensuring they have the right tools to operate efficiently in a modern working environment. We recently moved to larger premises at the end of the year to allow for this growth. We can now be found at Gamma Terrace on the Masterlord Estate.

Linzy Vesey, Office Manager says “Moving to this new office has allowed us to store more printer and photocopier/scanners so when our customers do require an additional printer, we have it in stock and can get it installed within 24 hours. Focussing on good and speedy customer service has ensured that they continue to come back to us rather than look elsewhere. The move has also allowed us to accommodate the growth we’ve seen in the last few years”
